Our Team

My name is Nadia. I am the founder and Executive Director of Learning Happens. I started my career as a home child care consultant in 2010. While I was working as a full-time home child care consultant, I took my first step towards my goal of providing a tailored educational childcare experience for a better tomorrow by enrolling myself in a full time ECE degree course. Having the responsibilities as a mother of three and a full-time job, I created a balanced lifestyle where I was able to complete my degree with distinction in 2015. I am the voice of parents addressing concerns and challenges forward to the local and provincial level of authorities to improve the status quo in the home child care industry. I was active in participating with City of Toronto Assessment of Quality Initiative meetings and many other home child care work groups and training.

Throughout my career I have been passionate about children and working with families. As an Early Childhood professional, I believe that Early Childhood Educators are not only nurturers, but they are also partners in facilitating, observing, and understanding children and their developmental stage and cultural heritage. I’ve learnt about different settings, environment, and cultural matches that are the key components for children to thrive and prosper. I’ve supported and taught many successful providers how to find a balance in providing quality care alongside keeping intact with safety and ministry regulations compliance.

With past work and life experiences I have always believed that I am capable of providing the quality care that parents and children deserve. By opening Learning Happens Home Child Care Agency, I have set in place unique terms with highly trained providers, experienced staff, alongside exceptional customer care to ensure that parents are comfortable and satisfied when it comes to sending their children to a quality home daycare. I am proud to announce that Learning Happens Licensed Home Child Care Agency has held these core values in highest regards since 2018.

We look forward to collaborating with the community and families to provide children with an environment in which Learning Happens When Each Child Belongs!

Nasima is the best caregiver i could ever ask for my daughter. My daughter loves her so much and has a lot of fun with her. I would really recommend the child care company in a whole

It’s been a month since we enrolled our kid with Shazia (9 Antibes), part of Learning Happens and the experience has been quite positive. Shazia takes good care and is always there to respond. I have even recommended her service to a friend of mine and she has started leaving her kid there too.
